Obituary
Louis Singer
Louis Singer, 69, a former Portage County resident living in Milwaukee, died in
a Milwaukee hospital Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Barbara's Catholic
Church, Milwaukee. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St.
Bronislava's Catholic Cemetery, Plover.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Tebo-Peppey-Klemmer Funeral Home,
Milwaukee. A parish vigil will be held at 8 p.m.
Mr. Singer was born in Portage County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John
Singer. He attended area schools and moved to Milwaukee, where he was employed
by Eaton Corp., Unit Drop Forge Division.
He was in the United States Army during World War II, serving as a private from
June 1942 until his discharge on Sept. 18, 1945. He was in a medical detachment
at Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include one brother, Henry, Plover, and eight sisters, Mrs. Walter
(Marge) Sieczka, Mrs. Belvine Worzalla and Mrs. Kaye Franks, all of Milwaukee,
Mrs. Frank (Bernice) Raschka, 2825 Minnesota Ave., Mrs. Frank (Francis)
Shopinski, Plover, Mrs. Martha Ryan, Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Johanna Kedrowski,
Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Herman (Susie) Winkelman, Ormsby, Minn.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
