Church. Rev. James Trempe will officiate. Private family burial will take place

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Jacob Podolski and Francis (Mallek)
Podolski. She was born on June 23, 1928, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. After her
mother’s death in 1931, she lived with her father and step-grandmother in the
Mill Creek area. She married Wallace Wasieleski on September 17, 1949, at St.
Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. Following their marriage they moved
to Milwaukee to raise their family. However, Dorothy and Wallace missed living
in the country and decided to move back to the Stevens Point area to begin their
farming career in Mill Creek. In 1964, they purchased Wallace's Family Homestead
(est. 1917), where Dorothy handled all of the finances for their farming
operation, and continued to do so for more than 46 years thereafter. Dorothy
enjoyed listening and dancing to music; polka was her dance of choice. She also
played an influential role in teaching her children to polka. Additionally,
Dorothy enjoyed sewing, and sewed many Easter dresses and bonnets for her
daughters. Dorothy loved to cook for her family, and prepared countless meals
for family and friends. She made the best soup in town. Dorothy treasured the
time spent with her husband and family, spending much of it traveling together
in their motor home while she was in her early 60's. She enjoyed going Up North
and fishing for bluegills. Family was the most important aspect in her life and
she valued every minute with them.
Dorothy was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Podolski; two brothers, Roman
and Leonard Podolski; and one grandson, Brandon Cieslewicz, who was killed in an
automobile accident in 2002. Survivors include her husband, Wallace; six
children, David (Lynn), Gary, Joyce (Tony Karpinski), Arnie (Bev), Shari (Quinn
Cieslewicz), and Cori (Randy Studinski); seven granddaughters, Kristi, Alicia,
Tara, Jenny, Desiree, Breanna, and Brittany; seven grandsons, Jason, Brad,
Jeremy, Dan, Bob, Justin, and Eric; and eleven great-grandchildren.
