John F. Discher

John F. Discher, 84, of Riverview, died Wednesday at home. A native of Plover, Wis., he moved to this area in 1962. He was a forger for International Harvestor and Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; two sons, John F., of Key West, and Ray M. of Franklin, Wis.; a daughter, Sandy C. Rinzel of Columbus, S.C.; a sister, Catherine Waiter of Brandon, 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Hillsbro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon.

Miss Lillian Elizabeth Smith daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Smith, 412 South Illinois avenue, and John Frank Discher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Discher of the town of Plover, exchanged wedding vows before Rev. W. B. Polaczyk at St. Bronislava's church at Plover Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown trimmed with lace insets and a long veil ending in a train. She carried pink and white asters. Her sister, Miss Julia Smith, who was maid of honor, wore light blue canton crepe with a matching headband and white slippers. The bridesmaid, Miss Virginia Schultz, wore a white lace dress with a blue satin jacket, a blue headband and blue slippers. They carried white and blue chrysanthemums. Harold Smith, the bride's brother, was best man and Ben Discher was groomsman for his brother.

Dinner and supper were served and a wedding dance was held in the evening at the Plover Post hall. Among the guests from away Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Heindle, Mr. and Mrs. John Heindle, Mr. and Mrs. Preiberger, Mrs. Esther Heindle and Ben Dombrowski of Menasha; Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen and daughter, Anne of Neenah.

Mr. and Mrs. Discher will make their home in the town of Plover.

Lillian E. Discher, 81 of Riverview, died Wednesday in Columbus, S.C. A native of Green Bay, Wis., she moved to Riverview in 1972 from Franklin, Wis. She was a homemaker and Catholic. She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Rinzel, of Columbus, S.C., two sons, John Jr. of Key West, and Ray of Franklin; a brother, Earl Smith of Stevens Point, Wis.; two sisters, Caroline Wysocki, and Julia Dziadoe, both of Milwaukee; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
