WIATER, KATHERINE FLORENCE, 92 of Valrico, died Monday (Jan. 5, 1998) at home. Born in Plover, Wis., she came here in 1995 from Stevens Point, Wis. she was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include four daughters, Florence Mansavage, Valrico, Mary Ann Martin, Shawano, Wis., Margaret Koller, Stevens Point, Wis., and JoAnn Hall, Seffner; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Katherine F. Wiater
Katherine F. Wiater, 92, 2109 Miramont Circle, Valrico, Fla., formerly of Stevens Point, died of a brain tumor Monday, Jan 5, 1998, at her daughter's home in Florida, where she lived for the past three years. She was under the care of Hospice of Valrico.
Memorial services were held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Valrico, Fla. The body was cremated and a private family burial will take place in the spring in Stevens Point.
Mrs. Wiater was born Feb. 9, 1905, in Plover, daughter of the late Lawrence Disher and Mathilda (Disher) Fredach.
On Sept. 22, 1924, she was married to Joseph Wiater. He died in 1955. On May 2, 1960, she married Leo Wiater. He died in 1983.
She lived in the Stevens Point area all of her life except doe the last three years.
Survivors include four daughters, Florence (John) Mansavage, Valrico, Fla., JoAnn (Donald) Hall, Seffner, Fla., Mary Ann (Harlan) Martin, Shawano, and Margaret Koller, Stevens Point; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Obituary
Joseph F. Wiater
A resident of this vicinity for many years, Joseph Frank Wiater, 60, of 301 Oak street, died at St. Michael's hospital at 5 o'clock this morning. Mr. Wiater had been hospitalized at various intervals during the past two years, both here and at the Veterans Administration hospital at Wood, Wis.
He suffer a heart attack at his home and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital shortly before his death.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Boston funeral home. Burial will follow in DePines cemetery. John Mansavage on the Jehovah's Witnesses will conduct the services. Friends may call at the funeral home after Thursday noon.
Mr. Wiater was born Feb. 28, 1895, in Chicago, a son of the late John Wiater and Mrs. Regina Wiater, who now resides in Pulaski. His father died two years ago.
When he was six months old, the family moved to Pulaski, where he spent his boyhood. He entered service in the army in World War I on June 28, 1918, and served as a private first class in E truck company of the Fifth army corps. He was discharged from service April 23, 1919.
Afterward, he became employed in Milwaukee as an upholsterer for a furniture company. Mr. Wiater was married to Katherine Disher of Plover Sept. 22, 1924.
The couple lived in Milwaukee two years afterward and then came to Amherst Junction, where he operated the Lake Emily Inn for some 20 years. They lived in the town of New Hope for 16 years until three months ago, when they moved to the Oak street address.
Surviving, besides his wife and mother, are a son, Donald, Wisconsin Rapids, five daughters, Mrs. Emil Thompson, Amherst Junction, Mrs. John Mansavage, Plover, Mrs. Harlan Martin, Viroqua, and Margaret and Jo Ann, at home.
He is further survived by seven grandchildren, five brothers, Frank, Iola, Toney, New Hope, Leo, Milwaukee, John, Pulaski, and Paul, address unknown, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Cwiak and Mrs. Katherine Newman, Pulaski, and Mother M. Angelica of St, Joseph's Convent here.

Rites for Joseph Wiater
John Mansavage of the Jehovah's Witnesses officiated at funeral services Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Boston funeral home for Joseph F. Wiater of 301 Oak street.
Mr. Wiater died at St. Michael's hospital Wednesday morning. Burial was made in DePines cemetery.
The pallbearers were Tony Wiater, John Wiater, Leo Wiater, Emil Thompson, Louis Disher and Ben Disher.
Attending the services from away were the following relatives:

Also attending were a number of relatives and friends from Scandinavia, Manawa, Amherst, Amherst Junction, Rosholt, Nelsonville, New Hope, Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Wausau, Junction City, Plover and Oshkosh, as well as Stevens Point and this vicinity.

Leo F. Wiater
Leo F. Wiater, 84, 1732 Madison St., died at St. Michael's Hospital Sunday afternoon after a lengthy illness.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Boston Funeral Home, with Eugene Figlinski officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial will be established in his name for Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.
Mr. Wiater was born Feb. 6, 1899, in Pulaski, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wiater. He attended Pulaski schools and moved to Milwaukee. He worked on American Motors' assembly line there for 40 years, retiring in 1959.
He was married to Bernice Dolata in 1930 in Milwaukee. She died in 1958. In 1960, he was married to Katherine (Disher) Wiater in Pine City, Minn. The couple settled in Stevens Point. She survives. Mr. Wiater was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.
Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Bernard, Milwaukee, and Raymond, Appleton; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Jeanette Thompson, Amherst, Mrs. John (Florence) Mansavage, Bay City, Mich., Mrs. Harland (Mary Ann) Martin, Shawano, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Koller, 528 Airline Road, Whiting, and Mrs. Donald (JoAnn) Hall, Tampa. Fla.; 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, John, Pulaski. He was preceded in death by one step-son, four brothers and sisters.
